Article 1
Definitions
"BATENCORE" refers to the digital trust infrastructure operated by SAHLA MADINA SARL A.U, a Moroccan limited liability company, accessible at batencore.com and its subdomains.
"Services" refers collectively to BATEN CODE, ZAHIR, and CERT, as described at batencore.com/pricing.
"D7_SEAL" refers to the cryptographic certification act issued by BATENCORE's infrastructure, constituting the primary monetized deliverable of the BATEN CODE service.
"BICS" (Baten Invariant Certification System) refers to the proprietary technical standard governing all integrity assessments performed by BATEN CODE.
"User" refers to any individual or legal entity accessing or purchasing Services.
"Paddle" refers to Paddle.com Market Limited, the Merchant of Record handling all payment processing on behalf of BATENCORE.
Article 2
Services
BATENCORE provides the following digital services:
BATEN CODE — Source code integrity analysis engine (free scan) and D7_SEAL cryptographic certification (paid). Available as VSCode extension and Windows standalone executable.
ZAHIR — Certified semantic universe platform. Subscription-based creation and distribution of structured knowledge universes.
CERT — On-premise institutional blockchain infrastructure. Deployed within the client's own environment under a service and support agreement.
All Services are delivered digitally. No physical goods are sold or shipped.
Article 3
Access and Accounts
The BATEN CODE scan engine is available without registration. Paid services (D7_SEAL, subscription plans) require a valid email address and payment method processed through Paddle.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. BATENCORE reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
Article 4
Payments
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects payment, issues invoices, and handles VAT compliance on behalf of BATENCORE. By purchasing any paid Service, Users agree to Paddle's terms of service available at paddle.com/legal.
Prices are stated in EUR and are inclusive of applicable taxes where Paddle is required to collect them. BATENCORE reserves the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice for subscription plans.
Article 5
Refund Policy
D7_SEAL (one-time act, €5): Non-refundable once the cryptographic certificate has been issued. The D7_SEAL constitutes a timestamped, signed act — its issuance is irreversible by nature.
Subscription plans (PRO, TEAM, ZAHIR Publisher/Studio): Users may cancel at any time. A full refund is available within 14 days of the initial subscription charge if no D7_SEAL certificates have been consumed. After 14 days or after certificate consumption, no refund is issued for the current billing period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
CERT (institutional): Refund conditions are defined individually in the service agreement signed prior to deployment.
Commissioned Audit Service: Non-refundable once the audit has been delivered. Cancellation before delivery: 50% refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before the agreed delivery date.

Article 6
Intellectual Property
The BICS standard, ZAHIRUN engine, D7_SEAL architecture, and all associated patents (C1, C2, D6) are the exclusive property of SAHLA MADINA SARL A.U / BATENCORE. All rights reserved.
Users are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. Users may not reverse-engineer, reproduce, resell, or create derivative works from any BATENCORE software or standard without prior written consent.
Article 7
Limitation of Liability
The BATEN CODE engine produces deterministic integrity assessments based on the BICS standard. These assessments do not constitute legal advice, security guarantees, or warranty of fitness for any purpose. BATENCORE is not liable for decisions made on the basis of audit results.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BATENCORE's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Article 8
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of the User's country of residence provide otherwise.
Article 9
Modifications
BATENCORE reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes by email or by a notice on the relevant Service page. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
